Janna Mayfield  11 Sept 1996
Henry HALL b. 1821, Tn and Minerva, b. 1821, tn. married around 1843-44, probably Tn. came with their daughter, Elizabeth b. 1845 to Angelina Co. around 1846.  In 1870, Henry and his wife Minerva moved to Robertson Co., Tx.
Minerva died in the 1880s.  Their children were Elizabeth, Lewis, James, Martha and Samuel.  James HALL married
Fannie Irene COOPER in 1875, Robertson Co. Tx.  He died just before my grandmother, Jimmie Irene HALL  was
born in 1877.  Any information on the HALL families in Angelina Co. will  be appreciated.  Will share information.

William Henry MASSINGILL s/o George Washington MASSINGILL and Mary Elizabeth GANN.  Arrived in Angelina Co. 1837.  Married Francis EASON ca 1817.  Children: Martha Jane, George Shadrick, Jemima Aletha, Sarah A, William Henry, Fanny M, Mary Adaline, Margaret, and Arminta.  Moved to Comanche Co., TX by 1870.  Searching for information on William Henry MASSINGILL or any of his children, especially interested in marriage between Mary Adaline MASSINGILL and POLVADO

STANLEY  I am looking for more information on Charles Franklin STANLEY, who came with his family to Angelina County between 1900-10 and remained there until his death in 1946.  His wife was Sarah Elizabeth (nee WHITE), and they are both buried at the Old Center Cemetery near Lufkin.  Their children were Roxie, William, Dorothy, (Laura) Mittie, (Nellie) Pearl, and Clyde.  Roxie and Dorothy died in the flu epidemic c1918, and I would like to know where in the county they were buried.  At some point, Charles owned his own saw mill. Mittie married Brady ALEXANDER, neighbors of the Stanleys.  Pearl married Burnett SIMONDS.  I am always looking for descendants of Charles and Sarah, but would appreciate any information.  I have most of my Stanley information online to share at http://www.hypertree.com/stanley/.

Would like to correspond with others researching the family of Willis Murphey (Murphrey) and Priscilla Dixon.  The Murphey's settled in Sabine Co., in 1825.  Also interested in collateral families of Renfro, Dorsett, Deweese, Eddings, Drawhorn, Willingham, Davis and Green.  Have Dixon line traced back to 1719 and Murphey's to 1762.

A relative of mine moved with his family to that area in the early 1850's from Barren county, Kentucky.  His name was Endemion B. Hammer.  He had several children with him but I have only 2, Mark and William. E.B. Hammer b.1810 and I do not have his death. He was married to Louisa Head. I need any info on.

Brian M. Garvin 14 Oct 1996 I have a son born on or about 1975-76 at St. Marys hospital. in Lubbock, Texas. He and his mother lived in Levelland, Texas. I would like very much to reestablish contact with them, for medical reasons, to say the very least. His birth name was Justin Wayne Rogers or Rodgers, his mother's name was Shelly Rogers or Rodgers, My name is Brian M. Garvin. But I don't know if it's on the birth record. Any help finding any or the relatives or friends would be greatly appreciated, I'm 42 years old and have been told that I might not be around much longer. My Thanks in advance, Brian.

William was probably the son of Elias McCLENDON (b. South Carolina) of Catahoula Parish, Louisiana. William married Frances Virginia ELLIS, daughter of Arthur O. ELLIS. Related Angelina County families are CARROLL, COTTINGHAM, GREEN, TREADWELL, and MERCER. Other ancestral families who never made it to Angelina County but gave rise to the those above are; BIGGS, BRIGGS, GILLIAM, IVES (or IVY), JOHNSON, NICHOLSON, SAWYER, SIMSON, WALLACE, WHITTINGTON, and others.

Kelly Smith 8 Nov 1996 I am trying to trace my father's side of the family back to Ireland. My father, Jesse W. Smith, and his sister, Tempest Louise Smith, were born in Ennis or thereabouts I believe, about 65 years ago. My grandparents, Jesse W. Smith and Myrtle Smith may have been married in that area. My great- grandfather was the Irish connection. He was my grandfathers father and is believed to have married an Indian woman. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Yvonne Horner 24 Nov 1996 Am searching for information on my father's parents Green Sanford born in Texas (?) on March 29, 1878 and Died in Houston on July 2, 1960. Green married Mary Milbury Canon on July 16, 1898 in Nacogdoches. Mary was born on March 18, 1881 in Texas (?) and died in Houston on February 28, 1967. They are both buried in the Gann Cemetery outside of Lufkin. Green and Mary had children as follows: Cleo, Liamor Dain, Kathern Lessie, Harrison, Frankie Leroy (my father), Morris Elvin, Robert Travis, Beatrice, and Johnny. Green and Mary lived in Jacksonville for a long time on I believe Water Street (?). I can see the house perfectly when I think back however, I may have the street wrong, it has been a long time since I've been there. Any information on Green and Mary as well as any of their parents brothers sisters, etc would be most helpful. I am having a difficult time finding anything out.

Duane Gore 28 Nov 1996 Looking for ancestors of Cyrus IVY/IVEY (B. 11 Dec 1814, Walton Co., GA, d. 5 Jun 1890. Angelina Co., TX). He came to Angelina County in about 1850 from Walton Co., GA. His father was Jeremiah Ivey (d.1840, Walton, Co., GA). Cyrus served in the CSA and his son, JAMES SANFORD IVY, moved to Freestone Co. after the war. I think Cyrus is buried in the old Ivy Cemetery near Huntington.

Ruby Coleman 12 Dec 1996 Seeking information on the descendants of Rev. Charles Tilden TALLY (TALLEY) who was living in Lufkin, TX in about 1937. He married Annie L. SNEED. They were parents of Charles Jr., John W., Marion and Dorothy. Dorothy married a Mr. SOWELLS. Rev. TALLY was a Methodist minister. Where is he buried? Would like to establish contact with descendants.

Bob Patterson 16 Dec 1996 Looking for information on Marion Nathaniel WILLIAMSON b. July 22, 1857 in MS,
d. Feb 6, 1916 and buried in Holhousen-Darby Cemetery near Moscow, TX. He was brought to Polk Co., TX by his
parents sometime after the Civil War. Who were his parents? His mother's first name is Salena and is also buried at
Holhousen Cemetery. Marion married Susie BROCK in 1879. Still descendants in Polk Co.
