The land appears to be owned by the Bryan family, possibly attorney Berry Bryan who is running for a judge position in Angelina County. The physical address is 4010 Route 9. The cemetery sits back on the property about 100 yards and is fenced, it is inside a larger fenced field. We tried to get permission to go on the property but no one was home and after many attempts to locate the cemetery prior and knowing it’s a 2-hour drive home I decided I wasn’t leaving without seeing it. This was a big find for me and I was very happy of my findings since I am related to all the Traweek’s in there! This list is complete and accurate. I also took pictures of all the stones and markers and can provide them later upon request. Stephan Thomas Traweek: Pvt Co J13 Texas Col, Confederate State Army Mar 4,1825 Nov 16, 1894; Where immortal spirits reign, Then we shall meet again. M Traweek: Wife of ?, April 2,1880, Death is enternal life, Why should we weep. (This stone was disintegrating) W S Traweek: Mar 19 1871, July 1, 1949 Henretta Traweek: Our Mother, Nov 18 1883, May 4, 1927, at rest. Infant: ?????ne to be a angel, Born & Died to T.??, Feb 2 1882 Mary Perl Traweek: Born Nov 12, 1906, Died July 2 1907, ? of S. Traweek, ?? Forgotten??? (Was badly broken) There is also a very new stone, which lists Bryan Names. It is one big stone but there are no dates. It looks as if they plan to start adding their family to the cemetery. Seems natural since it is on there land. Maybe someday it will be referred to as the Traweek/Bryan cemetery.
